Juliette Demers-Cyr
Coordinator
Juliette Demers-Cyr is an emerging multidisciplinary
artist with an interest in media art practices. Her work questions the
ambivalent nature of new technologies in relation to nature.
Originally from the Laurentians, she currently lives
and works in Tio’tia:ke, Montéal. She is a graduate of the Université du Québec
à Montréal, where she obtained a BFA in 2023. She is also a cultural worker,
teacher and photographer. Juliette Demers-Cyr took part in group shows at the Fais-moi
l’art gallery in 2022, at Art Mûr, Espace Loulou and Ateliers Belleville in
2023, as well as at the Salle d’exposition de la Place des Arts in 2024. She
has also worked on public art projects, including a video art collaboration
presented in 2022 on the Place des Arts screen mosaic. More recently, she also
participated in the 2023 edition of the Art
Pop Performance Event, as part of the POP Montréal festival (in partnership
with the Art Volte organization), during which she created a sound art piece to
accompany a performative work.
